Golden Mountain Ranch is a 1,200-acre property with breathtaking mountain views and endless photo ops. The Wilmont, the property’s luxury ranch house, sleeps up to 18 guests, making it ideal for a wedding weekend getaway.
Ceremonies take place on the lawn with a gorgeous mountain backdrop and benches for guests. There’s also an upper patio to have your celebratory cocktail party or dinner, complete with a bar and grill.
Wright Opera House
Best for: A full-service, historic venue
Availability: Year-round
Cost: Starting at $3,450
Max guest count: 120
The historic Wright Opera House is one of the best Ouray wedding venues for a larger full-service ceremony and reception. The space is the perfect mix of 19th-century charm with modern amenities. The restored venue has a grand staircase, golden tin ceilings, and original brick walls, which look stunning in photos.
This venue is also ADA-accessible, with tables and chairs included in every rental. The Wright Opera House also has professional sound and lighting, ideal for live music or a DJ.
Beaumont Hotel & Spa
Best for: An elegant, indoor wedding with accommodations
Availability: Year-round
Cost: Starting at $999
Max guest count: 300
Known as the “Gem of Ouray,” the Beaumont Hotel & Spa combines historic elegance with modern luxury. Everything is in one place — ceremony and reception spaces, luxury rooms, a spa, and a tavern.
You can customize your wedding with vendor choices and book a full hotel buyout for a private stay. With the hotel’s grand ballroom, on-site spa, and mountain views, the Beaumont is perfect for a unique Ouray wedding.
The Western Hotel & Spa
Best for: A luxurious wedding
Availability: Year-round
Cost: $10,000+
Max guest count: 85
The Western Hotel was built in 1891 and restored in 2023. The space offers a warm, romantic atmosphere with custom decor and furniture and beautiful views of the San Juan Mountains. There are also 16 suites if you want to stay at the venue with guests, a restaurant, and a spa.
Whether you want to book The Western Hotel for an elopement, an intimate wedding, or a full buyout, there are several packages to choose from.
Red Mountain Alpine Lodge
Best for: An adventurous wedding getaway
Availability: Year-round
Cost: Starting around $10,000 (including a two-night stay)
Max guest count: 50 for wedding; 18 for overnight stay
If you’re looking to have a wedding getaway off the beaten path, Red Mountain Alpine Lodge is the perfect spot! I love this location for a just-us celebration or a micro wedding with your closest loved ones. The views are incredible year-round, from wildflowers in summer to golden aspens in fall. Adventurous couples also love the easy access to skiing, hiking, and backcountry scenery.
The lodge has a gorgeous meadow for a ceremony and a charming lodge for up to 18 overnight guests. Weddings require a two-night full lodge buyout. This includes lodging, meals for overnight guests, and a venue fee that varies depending on your guest count. If you enjoy adventure, there’s also easy access to skiing and hiking for pre and post wedding fun.
Top of the Pines
Best for: A rustic outdoor wedding
Availability: May 15th-October 15th
Cost: $1,000 (weekday) or $3,000 (weekend)
Max guest count: 50
Top of the Pines, a 175-acre outdoor recreation area at the foot of the Sneffels Range, is one of the best mountain wedding venues in Colorado. Couples love its wide-open meadow with beautiful scenery. It’s also a great spot for a camping wedding, with nearby campsites available.
You can rent Top of the Pines for a weekday elopement or a full weekend wedding. Amenities include a pavilion with heat, electricity, restrooms, and a prep kitchen.
Cascade Falls Park
Best for: An intimate, outdoor ceremony (pet-friendly)
Availability: Year-round, weather dependent
Cost: Free
Max guest count: Ideally no more than a few people
Cascade Falls Park is one of the best Ouray wedding venues for an intimate elopement. A short hike takes you to a waterfall, which makes for a stunning backdrop for your vow exchange. This is also one of the few pet-friendly places to get married in Ouray if you’re hoping to celebrate with your fur babies.
Downtown Ouray is just minutes from Cascade Falls Park, so you can head there to celebrate with dinner and drinks.
Hidden Gem Locations
Ouray is one of my favorite spots for an off-the-beaten-path wedding ceremony! There are so many lesser-known locations that are perfect for intimate weddings. Think alpine lakes, mountain overlooks, and peaceful meadows.
Adventurous couples love booking a Jeeping tour for their Ouray elopement. You can explore epic peaks and lakes, then stop for a spontaneous ceremony at your favorite view.
